Dnešní díl je víceméně zasvěcen PT Gatecrash, ale máme tu i něco málo SCG Open (standard & legacy) a samozřejmě nechybí pozvánka na PTQ do Brna!

 

 

Minulý týden se v Montrealu uskutečnil první letošní Pro Tour, kterého se zúčastnilo 329 hráčů, včetně prakticky celé světové špičky. Z našich hráčů zde nechyběli Martin Jůza, Standa Cífka, Lukáš Jaklovský a Tomáš Vaněk.

 

Formát PT byl následující – v pátek a v sobotu nejprve tři kola draftu a poté pět kol standardu a v něděli pak finálová top8 – standard a na tři vítězné hry.

 

Po krásných a napínavých soubojích se nakonec stal vítězem Tom Martell s inovativním deckem, kterému se říká „Aristocrats“ (WBR aggro s Cartel Aristocratem, Falkenrath Aristocratem a Boros Reckonerem), když ve finále porazil 3:1 švédského hráče Joela Larssona s UWR Midrangem. Co mi přijde zajímavé zmínit je fakt, že v jeho decku měl prsty jeden z nejlepších a nejoriginálnějších deckbuilderů na světě - Sam Black, takže se není čemu divit :)
 

Mimochodem, Joel byl jediný „neameričan“ v top8 (po delší době žádní Japončici v top8 na velkém turnaji)!

 

Našim hráčům se tentokráte moc nedařilo, nejlépe na tom byl Tiran (Lukáš Jaklovský), který hrál UWRko a skončil na 75. místě (což je mimochodem poslední místo, za které se braly nějaké ty dolárky). Ostatní tentokráte skončili hluboko v poli poražených…

 

Co se dále potvrdilo je fakt, že i po vydání Gatecrash je standard velmi rozmanitý a tak trochu nevyzpytatelný a stále je plno archetypů, které mohou vyhrávat. Ostatně už jenom top8 byla takováto: 1× Aristocrats, 2× UWR midrange, 1× Wolf Run Bant, 1× Naya aggro, 1× Esper kontrol a 2× Jund midrange

Do Cincinnati si přišlo dvojku zahrát neuvěřitelných 680 hráčů, což už je možná víc, než na nějakých menších Grand Prix v Asii či Austrálii…

 

Ze 680ti hráčů nakonec zbyli jen dva – a to Eric Rill s Naya Rampou a Andy Ferguson s velmi originálními BW Zombáky, či prostě s jakýmsi BW Midrangem. Nicméně Eric nakonec zvítězil 2:1.

 

V Top8 ještě bylo k vidění: 2× Esper kontrol,1× Jund aggro, 1× The Aristrocrats, 1× Boros Aggro a 1× Wolf Run Bant. Vidíte tedy, že plno hráčů neváhalo a hned šlo vyzkoušet balíky z Pro touru…

3. SCG Open Cincinnati – Legacy

Účast na legacy byla již tradičně nižší – 279 hráčů, ale ani tady nebyla nouze o zajímavé balíky. Známý rogue deckbilder Caleb Durvald hrál Griselbrand Tendrils, což je kombodeck kombinující reanimaci a storm a už tu o něm byla řeč v jednom z minulých vydání.
 

Na feature matchích byl k vidění třeba i UB Stiflenought (kombo Phyrexian Dreadnought + Stifle). Do top8 se po delší době dostal Maverick a velmi pěkně si vedl i nový kombo deck Enter the Infinite, s nímž jeho pilot Rob Vaca skončil na velmi pěkném pátém místě.

 

Ve finále si to rozdali Lauren Nolen s Esperem a Michael Tabler s High Tidem a zvítěl Lauren Nolen 2:1.

 

Pokud se někdy díváte na replaye z těchto turnajů, tak určitě doporučuju zkouknout parádní třetí hru ze čtvrtfinále mezi Michaelem Tablerem a Jacobem Hollonem!

Díky PT Gatecrash se minulý týden žádné PTQ Dragon’s Maze nekonaly, ale už tenhle týden nás čeká nová várka, jejíž součástí je i PTQ v Brně, které se bude konat v sobotu 24.2. od 10:00 v prostorách klubu Favál (Křížkovského 22)!

 

Pokud máte rádi modern a je pro Vás výzva kvalifikace na Pro Tour, tak určitě doražte!

 

Já jen pevně doufám, že vítěz tentokrát na PT skutečně půjde (resp. poletí), protože by byla škoda takhle promarnit slot…
