Pokud jde o původní dotaz, tak má Otóšek pravdu. A to z následujícího důvodu.

"Protection" znamená mimo jiné:
 

702.14b A permanent or player with protection from can’t be targeted by spells with the stated quality and can’t be targeted by abilities from a source with the stated quality.

Sesílání Aury cílí:
 

303.4a An Aura spell requires a target, which is restricted by its enchant ability.
 

Jakou barvu má Curse of Chains:
 

202.2d An object with one or more hybrid mana symbols in its mana cost is all of the colors of those mana symbols, in addition to any other colors the object might be. Most cards with hybrid mana symbols in their mana costs are printed in a two-tone frame.
 

Tedy Curse of Chains nejde na Bloodwitch vůbec začít sesílat. Je nutné vybrat jiný cíl.



Pokud jde o Otóškovu připomínku, tak Otóšek jen částečně "káže bludy" :-).

Vrácení Curse of Chains z exilu, poté, co byl zničen Oblivion Ring, sice necílí (nejedná se o spell dle bodu 303.4a) a lze tedy Curse attachnout na příšeru se Shroud či Protection.
 

303.4f If an Aura is entering the battlefield under a player’s control by any means other than by resolving as an Aura spell, and the effect putting it onto the battlefield doesn’t specify the object or player the Aura will enchant, that player chooses what it will enchant as the Aura enters the battlefield. The player must choose a legal object or player according to the Aura’s enchant ability and any other applicable effects.
 

Na druhou stranu, jakmile Curse attachneš na Bloodwitch, tak její Protection from white způsobí, že Curse půjde do hrobu (ve chvíli provedení state-based actions). Protection totiž mimo jiné znamená:
 

702.14c A permanent or player with protection can’t be enchanted by Auras that have the stated quality. Such Auras attached to the permanent or player with protection will be put into their owners’ graveyards as a state-based action. (See rule 704, “State-Based Actions.”)
